YSL uses Blunt Force

Famous fragrance from Yves Saint Laurent, Opium, which first appeared on the  market in 1977 now has a new spokes model. Most known from The Devil Wears Prada in 2006 or as Mrs. John Krasinski, Emily Blunt brings the sultry to the oriental inspired brand.

Shot by world-famous Patrick Demarchelier, Emily looks ravishing in the new campaign, released soon. While gushing about being the new face, Blunt said “I have huge admiration for the House of Yves Saint Laurent and feel that this House has always truly understood the expression of elegance – its mystique and its indescribable power”

We couldn’t agree more Emily!

The Polaroid Movement

Cheers to Polaroid!  Who isn’t obsessed with Polaroid cameras? Seriously, everyone has been digging through their attics and basements to get the buggars out and they only manage to stay at thrift stores for a few seconds before they’re grabbed.  We’ve even got a pretty extensive collection.  Getting the film has always been the pain in the ass issue though.  You usually have to order it…and it tends to cost a pretty penny.

No worries…Polaroid is making a serious come back! No need to obsess over instagram attempting to achieve the look. Though, we do love instagram… Who knows why Polaroid is having a serious comeback.  Possibly because of their collab with Gaga or maybe they’ve just realized how much we’ve missed them.

Anywho, check out some of the Polariod Projects.   James Franco, Cynthia Rowley, Patrick Demarchelier, Tory Burch, Nicola Formichetti and Michael Bernard (photo) all showed Polaroid pieces on September 14th. So, go through them on the site.

Lara Stone’s Vogue Cover and New Ad Campaign

Model Lara Stone graces the cover of the August issue of Paris Vogue for the seventh time. She is dressed in pieces from Haider Ackermann’s Fall 2011 collection and photographed by Inez and Vinoodh. This month’s cover brings an exciting spin to the Vogue Paris covers since Emmanuelle Alt’s past covers have been dominated by close up model shots.

This fall Stone will be taking on another area of Calvin Klein, the new Naked Glamour Lingerie campaign, which according to a press release, “is designed to make woman look even sexier than naked.” Photographed by Patrick Demarchelier and styled by creative director Fabien Baron of Baron + Baron, Stone will be the new front runner for this campaign. Along with this she will be returning as the face of Calvin Klein in the global ad campaign for Calvin Klein Collection, CK Calvin Klein, and CK One Jeans.
