We’ve been talking about Lagerfeld a lot lately which may be an indicator of our obsession with him or that he’s been up to a hell of a lot. Most recently Sir Lagerfeld was rendered by sculptor Saskia Ruth for a display at the St. Pauli Panopticon, a wax museum in Hamburg, Germany, Lagerfeld’s hometown.
Wonder what he thinks about it. And how the hell did Kim Kardashian get one first?
Fashion Heavyweight Antoine Arnault, who is the heir to LVMH – Louis Vuitton Moet Hennessy, recently told London’s The Telegraph quote: “We are going to enter an era in which logo and ostentation is going to be less successful. It will be about real quality.”
While we all love a great cocktail ring or bedazzled over-the-shoulder bag, prehaps Mr. Arnault speaks some truth. Recent reports say that the economy is failing, and that is sure to show in the coming fashion lines. For instance, Kim Kardashian is clearly not liked in the UK, as her company ShoeDazzle is not producing great numbers and will cease production at the end of the month. As well as discount haven GILT is currently down a CEO and closing offices left and right!
However, do not throw out your jewels just yet! You can still adorn an outfit with a nice set of chandelier earrings or a flashy tennis bracelet. The longer the are out of the fashion pages the soon they become vintage – and lets be honest, that makes them all the more fabulous!
It seems another Kardashian is making a permanent stand in the spotlight next to sisters Kim, Kourtney, and Khloe. Fifteen year old, Kendall Jenner, is taking the next step in her modeling career by becoming the face of Australian swimwear designer, Leah Madden, in the summer 2012 campaign entitled “Pirouette.”
Kim Kardashian posted a behind-the-scenes shot of Jenner, who is posing in a Leah Madden bikini. She wrote, “How stunning does she look!?!? I couldn’t be more proud!!!!”
Let’s hope that this campaign won’t spark as much controversy as her previous modeling gig with Nick Saglimbeni did in Malibu! Bellow are photos from the shoot in 2010 which was said to be too mature for the 14 year old Jenner.
Justin Bieber’s crush on Kim Kardashian was just a random bit of news everyone seemed to know about. They finally met at the White House for the first time and now they’re shooting together for Elle. Justin tweeted a photo of the pair together, enraging fans, and even had to make a disclaimer that the two were “just friends.” While it may be hard to believe that anyone would like anything else of the 16 year old pop star and the 29 year old vixen, apparently Bieber fans do NOT play.
