H&M Launches Partywear Collection

Summer and spring are on their way and that can only mean one thing…events! You know, weddings, parties, the whole sha-bang. Lets face it, between timing and costs they start to add up after awhile, but we’ve got some exciting news to shake those problems. H&M is creating a Partywear Spring 2013 collection called Conscious Exclusive. This line is chic, simple and ready to wear to any formal occasion that may fall into your lap. Items begin at dresses and end at stunning strapped heels (with a few little surprises in-between).

Conscious Exclusive hits stores April 4th.

Mrs. Carter for H&M

Baddie Bey, as she likes to call herself, is officially the face of H&M’s Summer Campaign. She will be introduced as “Beyonce as Mrs. Carter in H&M” promoting her world tour. The campaign was filmed in the Bahamas earlier this year, and we are not at all jealous that she gets to call that work. Ok, maybe just a little. Bey helped select some of the pieces we will see in the campaign and so far we know that the pieces include a tie dye bikini (which raises money for WaterAid – sexy AND moral), high waisted shorts, the perfect bodycon dress  and a beach dress that makes Angelina Jolie’s slit pale in comparison. We want all of it, and we want it now! But we guess we’ll just have to be patient and wait for the collection to hit the stores in May. 41 days to go, then.

One for the Boys: H&M

We love the boys! So, we’re pretty excited that H&M is coming out with a new mens line premiering March 7. 2013. The line is a collaboration with Brick Lane Bikes of  London, and shows off styles compatible with cycling while still being fashionable. H&M is using more sustainable materials in order for urban cyclists to ride through harsh weather and not have to worry about destroying their clothes. Take a look at their look book video, there’s no denying that these young chaps look great in the new line!

The Rumormill: Givenchy x H&M

Who doesn’t love affordable versions of iconic pieces from the likes of Lanvin, Versace, or most recently, Maison Martin Margiela? H&M attracts millions of customers worldwide with their designer collaborations. While there may still be a few items left from the Margiela collection, people are already anticipating the next fashion house to make a cameo at the Swedish fashion empire.

Although neither Givenchy nor H&M has commented on working together, we’re getting a little hopeful to see some of Riccardo Tisci’s bold designs recreated at reasonable prices. If the rumors are true, the Givenchy x H&M collection is anticipated to bring lots of unique printed t-shirts, studs and embellishments, and impeccable tailoring to H&M… hopefully. The routine designer collaborations at H&M are getting a little… played out so we desperately want Givenchy’s participation to exceed our expectations.

Check a few styles that we could see recreated for Givenchy x H&M.

Anna Dello Russo Launches H&M Line

Anna Dello Russo is never one for a quiet entrance. The Editor at Large and creative consultant for Vogue Japan launched her H&M line on October 4th in Milan. The line includes shoes, bags, jewelry and sunglasses. The price points range from $20 – $200. Although gold and turquoise are a current customer fave, the line contains “families” of cohesive pieces. The Diamond Family, The Pearl Family and the Charm Family are just a few of the fashion enthusiasts’ creations. Rooms were dripping in gold and chocolate at the launch party held at Paradis Latin Night Club in Paris.

Marni for H&M

It’s always exciting to see new H&M collections, especially the Newbury Street camp-outs. Versace was sold out in a matter of hours, but how will Marni do?  We’re anticipating some major success and we’re even more excited after seeing the first look of the collection coming. Designed by Consuelo Castiglioni, the Italian brand has some vivid colors, signature prints, and polka dots in store for H&M.  Coming next month, you’ll have plenty of time to figure out your spring wardrobes.

Pretty Carnival Freaks for Versace – H&M!

Released yesterday, this carnival-themed promo ad for the Versace for H&M – Winter 2011 line came out and can we just say: LOVE?

Bright colors. Studs. Animal prints. Metallics. All fabulous. The ad features Lindsey Wixson and Daphne Groeneveld — who are Versace regulars, As well as the face of the men’s line, River Viiperi — and it was great to see the puppet master, Donatella Versace make a little cameo!

What do you think of the Versace for H&M line?

H&M’s 2011 Fall Season Is Full Of Leading Men!

H&M has been filling their website and billboards with some pretty famous faces in the modelling world for this Fall 2011 season. Seeing as Simon Nessman and Cole Mohr are the faces for their new men’s Express Yourself campaign, and Clement Chabernaud and the lovely Jon Kortajarena are on some pretty large billboards in Downtown Crossing, H&M is definitely doing some serious ad work. Are the models working? Well, even if they don’t sell the products, they definitely keep you staring at them.

Here is Simon& Cole for the new Express Yourself Line, Fall 2011. Warm colors and nice neutrals.

H&M Dragon Tattoo Collection

You’ve most likely seen previews for the December release of  the movie adaptation of award-winning crime novel The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. What you probably didn’t know about is the H&M Dragon Tattoo Collection!
Costume designer Trish Summerville, who in addition to The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo has designed costumes for a laundry list of movies, celebrities and artists, has teamed up with H&M designers to create a hollywood capsule collection. This dark and edgy collection was inspired by the film’s anti-heroine, Lisbeth Salander, to fashionably capture the “essence of an independent woman”.
We’ll let Trish speak for the line herself…

First Look – Versace for H&M

The Versace for H&M collection will hit stores in November but photos have been slowly giving us a glimpse of what’s to come.  Photos of the collection have showed up in Vogue, Vogue Russia, and Vogue UK.  According to WWD, H&M will celebrate the occasion with a bevy of events in New York with a pop-up boutique, a runway show, and after party, all of which Miss Donatella will reportedly be attending.

Too Young to Party? No Biggie

The under 21 crowd always seems to miss out on some pretty rad experiences (Dollhouse for example) but where there is talent there’s a way.  H&M will feature the artwork of five budding young artists between the ages of 18 and 21 on T-shirts to be sold this month.  The shirts will include photos, paintings, and mixed-medium pieces by the winners of the contest: Beth Zimmerman, Kevin Fuhrmann, Myla Angela Cruz,  Rockie Nolan,  and Jordan Tiberio.. check them out and the behind the scenes video!

Versace and H&M

Yea Yea, it’s not breaking news but we wanted to share the video, that we honestly JUST came across because you all deserve to check out Donatella and hear her speak.  It’s just such a…unique experience. So have a gander!

If you are out of the loop…no worries:
H&M is proud to announce that its autumn 2011 designer collaboration will be with Versace. Designed by its creative director Donatella Versace, the exclusive collection will look back to the vibrant heritage of the brand, full of leather, print, colour and exuberance in exclusive materials at H&M prices. The collection will include ranges for women, men and selected pieces for the home. It will be available from 17 November in around 300 stores worldwide, as well as on-line. In addition, Donatella Versace has also designed a pre-spring collection for H&M which will be exclusively available in countries with H&M on-line sales from January 19, 2012.
